St Luke High School Gardens

Bonita had an amazing year teaching gardening and permaculture basics at St Luke High School.

The students planted a perennial polyculture around existing apple trees, a new polyculture with fruit shrubs, and annual vegetables. The perennials included red currant, honeyberries, tart cherry, raspberries, bee balm, lovage, echinacea, wild strawberries, chives, garlic chives, oregano, thyme, and mint.

Special thanks to Carolyn for all of her work, for Nikki and Paul's support, Grandmother Francine for sharing her teachings, and the funding from TD Friends of the Environment that made this project possible.
