Tools for Disconnected Communities and Burnt-Out Organizers.
September 24, 9:00 to 10:30 am (Mountain Time).
Whether your community is grappling with too complex a vision or is learning to strengthen relationships amongst members, whether you are burning out or are longing for a renewed sense of purpose in your work as an organizer, design thinking offers each of us an intentional way forward.
In this session, Bonita will offer tips and tools from design coaching with clients and organizing community groups over the last decade. You will be invited to participate in mini exercises, applying these concepts directly to your life and community.
Here, beginners and seasoned permaculture teachers alike may find new insights on social and personal design. We will explore the "whys" behind a design, mindmaps for the invisible landscape, and zone 1 to 5 strategies.
Weaving together concepts from permaculture and Nonviolent Communication, Bonita offers a toolkit to support activists, everyday citizens, and communities on a planet that is needing real change.
