Permaculture Ottawa (PO) and Permaculture Institute of Eastern Ontario (PIEO) are pleased to announce that we will be holding our 3rd Eastern Ontario Permaculture Convergence on March 23 and 24, 2013 in Ottawa, at the Heritage Academy, 207 Bayswater Ave., Ottawa. Please save the date!
Work Exchange applications by July 2 for fall courses!
We're gearing up for the summer and thinking about the fall! If you're interested in taking a permaculture course in Ottawa this fall and you'd like to apply for Work Exchange, we have 2 positions for the Introduction Module and 2 positions for the Main Module. Growing and Loving It!
The work we love is growing! Last year, we were delighted to start collaborating with Just Food and Permaculture Ottawa, and to discover that all three of our permaculture courses and the community permaculture convergence were booked full. We hosted several community events through Transition Perth, including a solar cooker demonstration, a gift bazaar, a veggie garden tour, a fruit propagation workshop and a collaborative communication workshop.

Permaculture Convergence 2012 - Presentation Proposals
We are in the process of planning our winter/spring Eastern Ontario Permaculture Convergence. We are aiming for a Saturday in April in Ottawa; we're still waiting for a final confirmation about the venue, so we apologise that the date is not yet fixed. The format of the convergence will be similar to last year, with multiple presentations/mini-workshops in the morning and an Open Space Technology forum in the afternoon (in which folks can initiate topics and discussions that same day). More details about the convergence to follow!
Permaculture Collaboration with Just Food Hub in Ottawa
The Permaculture Institute of Eastern Ontario (PIEO) is delighted to announce its collaboration with the new Just Food Community Food and Urban Agriculture Hub in the Ottawa Greenbelt. PIEO will donate all profits from its recent regional event to support this new project.
